It’s easy to focus on our physical form when talking about longevity. Ultimately, our bodies must survive if we’re talking about longevity in the same body.
But for anything other than a decade or so of additional life span, our focus MUST include the other seven pillars of longevity.
The next most important one today is our mental ability. Most people will lose some or all mental ability by 100.
Functional Longevity is a simple, yet powerful way to look at the subject of Longevity. Functional Longevity incorporates measurement into all eight (8) of the Pillars of Longevity.
For example, most longevity experts focus almost exclusively on the health and strength of the human body to predict how long someone will live. Functional Longevity would example data in each of the eight pillars. The goals is to encourage and educate each person on how to have a strong body, strong mind, strong finances, etc. so as to achieve longevity!
